Do you want to be a star? Do you belong in a music video? Do you want to be a legend at Hopkins Elementary for years to come? We will be having our annual songwriting contest this year and the winner will be featured in their very own music video!
This year we are looking for uplifing positive songs. Think about writing a song about overcoming some kind of adversity or problem. Songs like Katy Perry’s “Fireworks”, China Anne McClain’s “Rise” or Andy Grammer’s “Keep Your Head Up” would be good examples of positive and uplifting lyrics. The chorus page is full of examples of positive songs. Songs can be sung, rapped, or a combination of both. All songs must be written or typed out and you must bring the paper with you to auditions.
Here are some of the available beats that you can write a song over. Good luck superstars!
